The wait is finally over! This weekend we officially opened our shop next door, PD Watches. Yes, Providence Diamond has expanded into an adjacent space, adding an additional 3,000-square-feet of showroom for you to peruse, shop, or simply lounge for a spell (more on that in a minute).
What can you expect when you step into PD Watches? A first-of-its-kind watch salon experience. We’ve created a lounge area on the showroom floor where you can sink into the sofas while enjoying a coffee or cocktail—there’s a new private bar with a beautiful, fluted design in the space, you have to see it!—while marveling over the ingenuity of the latest models from some of the most revered watch brands in the world: TUDOR, Grand Seiko, Breitling, and TAG Heuer.
We designed PD Watches to spotlight all the upscale watch brands we love. Each watch manufacturer has its own elegant environment, making it easy to immerse yourself in the world of each brand, exploring recent releases, classic styles, and the unique histories of these world-class companies. TUDOR's showcase is one of the largest buildouts for the brand in New England, and TAG Heuer’s cool display is as “connected” as its cutting-edge watches. Grand Seiko and Breitling upgraded to new digs in their luxury environments, and we’re ecstatic to be stocking these stylish and highly collectible timepieces.
We’ve also brought in a collection of watch accessories, including boxes, watch winders and travel rolls, from WOLF, a heritage leather goods brand with a fascinating history (explore our selection here).
If you love luxury timepieces, keep your eye on events happening at PD Watches, which we’ll announce on this blog.
We’ve already hosted a few awesome events in the space, leading up to our Grand Opening celebration at Watches & Wheels, a fun mashup of luxury watches and collectible cars that went down Friday afternoon! Some of our favorite clients rolled up in their sleek wheels, which a valet organized as a veritable auto showcase for guests to coo over while sipping on champagne and munching on delicious small bites.
We also hosted a private GS9 Club event in celebration of Grand Seiko, exclusively for GS9 members (the GS9 Club is a revered platform for Grand Seiko collectors). It was excellent! Sushi from a local authentic Japanese restaurant, Haruki, was served, and Joe Kirk, National Training Manager for Grand Seiko USA, spoke to the assembled collectors, who drove in from across New England to meet up with fellow Grand Seiko enthusiasts. And everyone left with a piece of custom Japanese calligraphy, created on the spot by a special calligrapher we brought in for the event.
We also toasted TUDOR at PD Watches! In celebration of opening one of the brand’s biggest spaces in the region, Adam Bossi, VP of TUDOR USA, spoke at the private, catered event, where the latest models were shown and guests tried on a pair of seriously in-demand TUDOR watches: the pink-dial Black Bay Chrono and the all-gold 18k Black Bay 58.
Our goal with PD Watches is to give New Englanders (you!) a one-of-a-kind luxury watch shopping experience. So please come by, hang out in the new lounge, learn about the new models from your favorite brands, and let us know how you like the space.
Hope to see you soon!
